PCalc (9.99) delivers one of the most powerful and flexible calculators for your iPad Pro. I’ve tried writing macros and putting custom buttons in my layouts but i can’t really see any good way to replicate this feature. PCalc may be more calculator than many people need. although the multiple memory in this app has a pretty good and authentic interface, it’s missing this one feature I like, and there doesn’t seem to be a good workaround. i use these types of operations a lot on my calculators and i find them to be intuitive and convenient. for instance, you can do things like STO * 2 or RCL / 7. with this app, the one thing i would like to point out to the developer is that most classic RPN calculators allow the user to combine a STO/RCL operation with plus/minus/times/divide. with any program that invites the user to invest this level energy into of customizing their experience, there will always be things i start to notice that i just really wish were present. i love how it allows me to obsess over fine-tuning my layout exactly how i like it. This is by a wide margin the best ‘quick’ calculator software ever developed. The point being, if you don't like what you see in the default layouts, you can make it be anything you want it to be. I'll stop here not because there is not more to say, but because this calculator shines once you start exploring the many options available. It is a fully featured scientific calculator for OS X with support for hexadecimal. All the labels for each key can be set to whatever you want. PCalc 4 is a brand new version of my veteran calculator application. See below the new experience with the Nvidia NVS 510s video cards. IMO, when 'region' is selected SnagIt should not spend any cycles on outlining a window as I've selected a 'region' capture and will always be 'drawing' the region I want to capture.īy comparison, Snip and Sketch is almost instantaneous with region drawing.ĭisplay 1: left=0, right=3240, top=0, bottom=2160ĭisplay 2: left=-3840, right=0, top=0, bottom=2160ĭisplay 3: left=3240, right=7080, top=0, bottom=2160 And this is with simplified crosshairs enabled. It takes 8 - 10 seconds for the crosshairs to show and then the crosshairs really lag when moving around the screen. I always use 'Region' capture and it seems as though SnagIt is spending cycles trying to outline (with dotted yellow line and arrows) a particular window where my cursor is when I click my capture shortcut. I'm encountering the same performance issue with multiple monitors (see diagnostics below). My takeaway is if you use more than 2 monitors, get a graphics card that supports the number and type of monitors you have. I have found this issue as I run 2 -3 stock trading programs simultaneously on this computer and I use Snagit to capture video on stock activity during my trading. So if you add more monitors you are going to see less performance from all if you are running programs at the same time that have a lot of active graphics. Most off the shelf computers are only designed to support 2 monitors. In my opinion, I believe there is a direct link between the amount of ram you have and the type/capabilities of the Graphics card you have to support the monitors you are trying to use. But enough rambling, I do run Snagit on my laptop with a similar processor and ram and have found the issue does not happen as frequently which does imply that having multiple monitors is an issue with running Snagit. I even went and upgraded to Snagit 2020 to see if it would solve the issue and It did not. The last time it happened was right after the last windows update was uploaded and the delay was so bad that I did contact Snagit Tech support to see if the latest update was being reported as an issue. I have experienced this same issue on a few occasions and have not been able to pinpoint a direct link to what I'm doing when it happens. ![]() Just an observation to add to this issue, I have a Dell desktop with i7-7700 CPU 3.60GHz processor with 16GB of ram using 4 each 22" 1920X1080 monitors for just over 2 years. ![]() Responsive Design with Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Edge Reflow CC (Preview) Ever since responsive design came into being, designers and developers have been faced with workflow challenges. Granted, the more obviously offensive weaponry drew the bigger crowds. Traffic will not be a Grand Slam in Queens this week as the US Open gets underway at Flushing Meadows. But wandering around the immense biennial Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) fair in London last week, it occurred to me that there is another way of viewing such an event, especially in Europe’s present context, which is that everything on show is also designed to protect somebody – and not only the people who are driving, flying, sailing, launching or firing it. The core function of the goods on offer is the delivery of destruction and death, and the trade has hardly acquired a reputation for best ethical practice. By and large, arms fairs get a lousy press – and this is understandable. Another important item that must be understood is that higher viscosity fluids cause greater pipe friction loss. The opposite is also true in that when the temperature of the fluid decreases the viscosity increases which causes the material to become thicker and require a greater amount of force to cause the material to flow. Some other particulars regarding viscosity are that viscosity usually decreases when the temperature of the fluid increases which causes the material to become thinner and flow with less force applied. Essentially, viscosity indicates a fluid’s ability to resist the forces that tend to produce a flow of that material. We look forward to hearing from you.Viscosity is the measure of a fluid’s thickness, and in particular, its ability to resist deformation at a given rate. If you have experience dealing with viscous fluids and have some expertise to add, please feel free to contact us. ![]() As long as the fluid, no matter how viscous, doesn’t give off heavy vapors and is relatively flat on the surface, an ultrasonic sensor will work splendidly. Ultimately, the wisest choice would be to use a non-contact solution like an ultrasonic sensor. Furthermore, if you attempt to try to clear out the pressure port you risk damaging the sensor. If the viscous fluid were to dry, it would block the transducers pressure port creating a nightmare of a maintenance project. But periodic washing will be required as crystallization on the stem would still occur.Ī pressure transducer is another good example of a sensor that would not be ideal for viscous fluids. The “runny” honey won’t cause the float to get stuck. You could then consider using a magnetic float level transmitter to measure warm honey. Take Honey for example, how often do you heat it up in your kitchen to allow it to flow better? ![]() However, the temperature of the fluid heavily influences viscosity. So we are confident it will work well with thicker fluids, just don’t use it with fluids like Honey, Corn Syrup, Peanut Butter, or anything that is really sticky. Our RPM is used to measure drilling mud, sewage tanks, and works just fine with a variety of oils. Even in applications where you might think the fluid is too viscous, our RPM probe, for example, still might work just fine. Highly viscous fluids will gum up the stem and most assuredly cause the float to get stuck.īut don’t let this change your mind about magnetic float level transmitters in general. Obvious examples are our magnetic float level transmitters. Measuring the Level of Highly Viscous LiquidsĬan you imagine trying to measure the level of pitch with a float level transmitter? We can’t either.Īs you may have already guessed, some sensors are not suitable for measuring liquids that are highly viscous. You can even watch the 10th drop falling live on a webcam here. The 8th drop fell in 2000 and the 9th fell just last year. The pitch was placed in a funnel and a cup was placed underneath the funnel to catch the drops of pitch as it flowed down. To prove this, the world’s longest ongoing science experiment taking place at the University of Queensland demonstrates the flow of a piece of pitch over many years. Though these may seem to be solids, they are actually liquids. Pitch refers to a variety of super viscous materials like tar, asphalt, and bitumen. We've provided a chart of common fluids with their cP measure. The unit of measure for viscosity is cP or mPa For example, water is not a very viscous fluid whereas honey and molten glass are. Another way to think of it is the thickness or stickiness of a fluid. Viscosity for a fluid is the measure of its resistance to a gradual change in shape by shear stress or tensile stress. What is Viscosity?īefore we get into a discussion about which level sensors work best with viscous liquids, let’s take a few moments to understand the definition of viscosity. While some sensors work just fine, others require a little extra maintenance, and some should simply be avoided. Liquids with high viscosity present a unique challenge to level measurement sensors. ![]() □Returns with no questions asked, we understand if an item is not as you expected whilst shopping online. ![]() □Ethically sourced crystals, no blood-diamonds, no dynamite mining, no items from contested areas! As medical documentation continues to become more digitally focused, having medical scribes in place is a smart move as they are uniquely trained in clinical documentation and offer a vital layer of oversight. They can even help detect certain errors in tests or results that may otherwise have been overlooked without a medical scribe present. ![]() Not only do medical scribes free up valuable time for medical professionals, allowing them more time with patients, but they can also help make medical records accurately reflect the decisions and treatment provided during patient visits- reducing medical errors and making sure the quality of patient care remains high. Medical scribes are becoming increasingly popular within medical workplaces due to their ability to help reduce errors in medical documentation. Scribes can also help reduce errors in medical documentation Medical scribes are a powerful tool to help create more balanced medical practices that prioritize quality patient interactions above all else. Patients feel more heard and understood when the doctor has more time to dedicate to them, and this connection ultimately leads to better patient outcomes. This not only frees up medical staff from tedious clerical work, but also strengthens the doctor-patient relationship due to improved communication between both parties. By taking care of all the paperwork associated with medical visits, medical scribes allow doctors to focus solely on their patients during check-ups and consultations. ![]() In medical practice, time is often scarce and medical scribes can be a valuable asset to alleviate the stresses of running a medical practice. ![]() Scribes can help improve the doctor-patient relationship by freeing up the doctor's time to focus on the patient The job of medical scribes is incredibly vital to medical practice as they are responsible for accurately documenting patient history, medical tests, treatments and visits, thus allowing physicians to more effectively diagnose patients and make sure their histories are preserved in extensive detail. As medical doctors become increasingly bogged down with paperwork and administrative duties, medical scribes have been formed to help provide a slight reprieve to the onerous amount of record-keeping associated with the profession. Before diving into a medical career, scribes must demonstrate their understanding of medical terminology and show a capacity for accurate medical documentation. Scribes are trained to understand medical terminology and know how to document a patient's historyīecoming a medical scribe is no small feat, requiring a great deal of skill and training. It's no wonder that medical scribes often become interested in pursuing medical careers in the future! So while medical scribes might not be medical professionals yet, they certainly occupy an important role in healthcare today that not many people know about. ![]() Medical scribes have the privilege of being immersed in medical conversations and acquiring insight into medical care from an intimate point of view. A medical scribe is a person who assists doctors by taking detailed clinical notes during patient visits and other non-clinical tasks. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to get a peek inside the medical world? Well, medical scribes are in an especially unique position to do just that. Here's everything you need to know about medical scribes! A medical scribe is a person who helps doctors by taking down notes during patient visits Scribing provides an awesome opportunity to get firsthand experience in the medical field, and it can be a great way to decide if becoming a doctor is right for you. But what are they? Medical scribes are essentially like transcriptionists for doctors - they document patient encounters in real-time so that the physician can focus on providing care.
